Don't attempt to "skim Laythe's atmosphere"! Posted: 22 May 2020 08:29 AM PDT I was hoping to get some quick atmo science, but I just learned the hard way (RIP you three random Kerbals) and confirmed with the wiki charts that skimming just 2km into Laythe's atmosphere is the pressure equivalent to dropping almost 18km into Kerbin's. When you're doing a 7km/sec flyby entering the Jool system from Eeloo, that results in sudden unexpected overheat/stressing of all your parts and straight-up tragedy. [link] [comments] |
