Guys.. I did it.. I landed on The Mun! Posted: 14 Dec 2020 05:23 PM PST It's not impressive by any means for the more-experienced players, but I consider it one of my greatest-achievements in a game to date. This game definitely does NOT hold your hand. I spent actual weeks building rockets and failing with them. I learned about the basics of Aerodynamics, Flight, and Rocket theory. (Thanks to this community definitely, and also thanks to NASA's website). Through trial and error, and sheer frustration, I failed and failed and failed until I finally built a rocket and moon lander from scratch that got the job done with plenty of fuel to spare. Man... I almost can't believe I actually did it. And not only that, but my custom-built rocket and lander only had to go through a few small revisions before it was complete. It was surprisingly stable and very fuel-efficient... Now the next task is getting home! I've got nearly a full tank of fuel, so hopefully that will do it. P.S. I misspelled Kerbal on my first landing! I guess I need to send Violet out next to correct it. :D [link] [comments] | ||
