I landed on Duna and Returned to Kerbin Safely for the 1st time. Posted: 24 Apr 2021 03:58 AM PDT I think I'm close to the 500 hr mark in playtime, I use CKAN so Steam doesn't realize I'm playing so its a guess really. Today I have finally accomplished a landing on Duna and returned to Kerbin safely with the Mk1-3 Pod. Jeb, Bill and Bob got to land on the North pole of Duna than launch back into orbit and get grabbed by Kerbin's 30km atmosphere with only 12m/s left of Delta-v. This was one of the most stressful launches since my first attempted moon landing but its done. Honestly think I need to go walk or something as wow it was stressful. I will say I have really learned a lot though. Micro adjustments in Sun SOI make a huge difference in getting better orbits and I think I will attempt Satelite launches using Mun's SOI to launch me into deep space. [link] [comments] | ||
