What a rewarding game

I can't remember any other game that has given me a real sense of accomplissement like this one. Not that fake stuff AAA games try to sell you as accomplishment.

I still remember the first successful rescue mission in LKO. I literally jumped out of my chair in celebration when I got the Kerbal into the rescue ship.

I spent an hour or two tweaking with maneuvers and burns, but it wasn't a grind. On every failure I was learning. Learning about real world orbital mechanics, not how to beat some AI. Understanding a concept from actual rocket science made the game easier and unlocked more of the game.

I'm excited for KSP2. I hope the laws of gravity haven't been upgraded, or I will have to learn that again ;)
