Help, I just cant rescue Kerbals Posted: 25 Aug 2021 04:18 PM PDT Spent 5 hours today trying to rescue a single Kerbal on a low orbit with no luck. Several times, I got to a position when our relative orbital speed was 0.1m/s and he was less than 100 meters from my ship, but even with very close orbits, I just cant figure out how to get that bastard to my ship fast enough, before the ship flies too far away because of small orbital differences. I think I need a perfectly matched orbit AND an intercept but I dont understand how to get both of those, it seems like one or the other really. If I match orbit, I cant catch up without changing the orbit. Or do I just need to accept that I am going to need more fuel than for a mun landing and several days of maneuvers? I cant imagine how you people do docking without losing sanity [link] [comments] |
